2026 Art Camp at Story Garden
Join us this summer in Martinez for joyful fun in the sun! Your child will make new friends, connect with caring teachers, experience hands-on learning, and become deeply immersed in art and play. Registration for summer camp opens Saturday, February 21.
Ages: 3 to 7 years
Group size: 12-14 children with 2 teachers
Time: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Session 2 - July 13-16
Session 3 - July 20-23
Session 4 - July 27-30
Price: $370 per session
Please note there is no extended day option this summer.
Summertime daily rhythm:
We begin our days outdoors in the garden before it heats up. Children have access to water play, messy art projects, our open-ended play structure, the huge mud kitchen, our chalk playhouse, the sandbox with water access, and more. Each day we play an engaging activity such as gardening, tie dye, cooking, sculpting, or full-body painting. We spend at least an hour outside every day, usually more. We eat our snack, which we provide, outdoors before moving inside. Indoors children can dig into the sensory table, build in our block area, experiment with light, shadow, and color on our multiple light tables, or plan their own art projects. Pick up time comes right after lunch, which is brought from home.

A water bottle, a packed lunch, a change of clothes, and diapers if necessary. Paperwork required by Community Care Licensing, including a copy of up to date immunization records, must be submitted before your child’s first day of camp.

We will be there to support your child as they transition into our environment. If your child cries inconsolably for over 20 minutes, we may call you to come pick up your child.

Cancellations made before May 1 will receive a full refund, less the PayPal transaction fee (approximately 3.5%). Cancellations made after May 1 but before June 20 will receive a 50% refund, unless the spot is able to be filled by someone on the waitlist. There is no refund if cancelled after June 20 unless the spot is filled via the waitlist.

Story Garden is licensed as a well-child facility. Children with contagious illness must stay home. Your child must be kept home when they exhibit any of the following symptoms: a fever of 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit or higher within the past 24 hours; vomiting or diarrhea within the past 48 hours; sore throat; wet (productive) cough; conjunctivitis (pink eye); lice or lice eggs (nits); excessively runny nose; fatigue; or your child is unable to participate in the daily routine due to feeling unwell.
