Embracing the magic and wonder of childhood.

The goal at Story Garden Preschool is to provide a safe, nurturing place for children to learn and grow.

Nestled in the Martinez hills just a 4 minute drive from highway 4 and Pleasant Hill Road, Story Garden provides a play-based, Reggio-inspired preschool program for children ages 2 to 5 years. We focus on nature-connection, imaginative play, and social-emotional growth. Every Monday is Forest Day, spent in the beautiful Briones Regional Park climbing trees, searching for newts, and jumping in puddles. We aim to prepare children for their next stage in life while also keeping the joy and magic in childhood.

We began our week with a 3 mile uphill hike on a warm sunny day and wrapped it up with a rain shower and freshly made bread rolls. Other highlights include some old slides I found at @scrapsf for the light table, work on a large collaborative canvas,
A neighbor donated a huge bag of backyard oranges. After eating a ton, we still had a bunch and wanted to put them to use before the weekend, so of course we juiced them. Lots of great hand eye coordination and muscle development cutting and pressing
